.MADRA RUA TRADITIONAL IRISH AND SCOTTISH MUSIC AND SONG.The band includes Mary (Vocals, tin whistle, bodhran) who hails from Galway, moving to America in her 20's. Influenced by Irish singers such as Francis Black, Mary likes keeping the tradition of Irish music alive. Ken (Guitar) was born in Massachusetts, growing up with a love for music and playing in a variety of bands in the Boston area. Erin (Vocals, Fiddle, Guitar) is a Long Island girl (now Clintonian) who grew up with a love for her Scotch-Irish heritage and Celtic music. Erin discovered her passion for fiddling through her participation in Scottish Country Dancing. Madra Rua has given her the chance to expand her musical experience into Irish and Scottish fiddle and vocal music. Eric (Vocals, Fiddle) is another Massachusetts native who grew up listening to groups such as the Clancy Brothers, the Wolfe Tones, and the Chieftains. Eric's musical background and combined love of history draw him to the stories in traditional Irish music.
